Jean Nolan (1666 - ?)
He was the son of Pierre Nolan & Catherine Houart,
born in Quebec. He married Marie-Anne Lamarque in 1688. Jean like his brother
Thierry were fur merchants.
Charles-Henri (Urbant) Nolan de la Marque: (1694 - 1754)
He was the son of Jean Nolan & Marie-Anne
Larmarque, born in Montreal. Charles married Marie-Anne Legardeur de Saint-Pierre
(daughter of Jean-Paul Legardeur, sieur de St.-Pierre
& Marie-Josephe Leneuf de Lavalliere) at Montreal in 1727 and they
had three sons: Charles-Urbant (1728-1729), Jacques-Marie
(bapt.1729) (m.Louise Perrot in 1762) & Francois-Amable (bapt.1730).
Charles was one of the largest financiers
of trading ventures in the west in the final decades of the French era.
He was related to other fur-trading family such as: Legardeur, Laporte
de Louvigny (Louis was an uncle), Pourin, Desjordy (Francois was an
uncle), Lefournier-Duvivier & Mouet de Moras.
Jean Nolan, sieur de Lamarque: (1691 - ?)
He was the son of Jean Nolan & Marie-Anne
Larmarque, born in Montreal. Jean became a lieutenant in 1717, promoted
to Captain in 1719 and was the French military Commander at Pensacola in
1720.
