Woodstock 1969 I was in attendence for part of the Woodstock Music and Art Festival in August 1969. It was through incredible luck that we got a place to park the car and once again to find a spot in the mud large enough for the four of us to sit on the hill. Then the huge spotlights on the tower started scanning across the countryside. Amazing. The beams of light brought the realization of how many people were gathered together. Sly got us to chant "HIGHER". The Who relived the story of Tommy. But the real image that remains etched in my brain is the sunrise. Incredible. The sun came up from behind the stage and then filled in the previous scans of light with the wondrous blanket over the mass of humanity. "Good Morning People", said Grace, and the Airplane got us all to Volunteer.
