This etching shows the brief progression of human civilization, I start with the basic building blocks of architecture, to the more involved fluted columns. As these columns go up they become the smoke stacks representing the industrial revolution. The gear into the planet and the smoke belching out from the stacks, represent the connection from these actions on the stability of the planet. The angle of the earth is tipping over to pour out the contents of the soon to be melting polar ice caps.
