Louis Tesson dit Honore: (1733 - 1807)
He was the son of Louis Tesson-Honore, born
in Chambly, Quebec. Louis married Madeleine Patterson/Petre (1739-1812),
at Kaskaskia, Illinois in 1754 and their children were: Louis (m.1st.to
Marie Duchouquette in 1782 at St.Louis, Missouri, m.2nd.to Therese
Creely in 1788, at St.Louis and m.3rd.to Catherine Rivet in 1797, at St.Louis
& m.4th.to Adelaide Barroussel in 1811 at St.Louis), Francois
(m. Susanne Liberge at Ste.Genevieve in 1787), Baptiste (Jean) (m.
Marie Bolly in 1802 at St.Louis), Michael (m. Genevieve Menard in
1796 at St.Louis & Polly who died in 1821) & Noel (m.Marie
Sip in 1802 at St.Louis).
Louis was a trader at Kaskaskia in 1760 and
died in St.Louis, Missouri in April of 1807.
Louis Tesson dit Honore: (abt.1755 - aft.1811)
He was the son of Louis Tesson dit Honore
& Madeleine Petre/Patterson. Louis III married Marie Duchouquette in
1782 at St.Louis, Missouri, m.2nd.to Therese Creely in 1788, at St.Louis
and m.3rd.to Catherine Rivet in 1797, at St.Louis & m.4th.to Adelaide
Barroussel in 1811 at St.Louis.
In november of 1796, Trudeau sent Louis on
a mission to Prairie du Chien. He had a trading post ("Cut Nose Village")
on the Mississippi River in Lee Co., Iowa, between Keokuk and Fort Madison.
He planted an apple orchard on this property but was forced to sell due
to debts. In 1834 the U.S. government bought this property from Captain
James White (who settled on it in 1832) to establish Fort Des Moines. Louis
received a land grant from the Spanish Government, located at the mouth
of the Des Moines River - about 1806, Louis transferred this title to Joseph
Robidoux.
Joseph-Henry Tesson-Honore: (1742 - 1809)
He was the son of Louis Tesson-Honore, born
in Chambly, Quebec. Joseph married Marie-Angelique Raymond in1766 and their
children were: Joseph (b.1773) (was involved in the fur trade) & Pierre-Henry
(1780-1861) (m.Olive Draper abt.1800). This family was located in Ontario.
