Spain is now a member of NATO. They have had sporadic experience fighting in their former colonies, especially in Africa. However, they fought an extended, bloody civil war in the 1930’s, and their Division Azul fought in Russia during WWII. - Star Model 30M pistol (use Beretta M9 stats)
- CETME Model L Assault Rifle (as M16 - ROF is 5)
(This is regarded as “a very bad weapon”. Consider it unreliable, if you’re using the weapon reliability rules) - CETME Model C (as G3 - they are, in fact, cousins)
- Star Z84 Submachine gun (use Uzi stats - they're similar)
- CETME Ameli Machine Gun
- MG3 Machine Gun
- Leopard II Main Battle Tanks (replacing M48/M60 Main Battle Tanks, which will be found in reserve units)
- Pizarro Armored Personnel Carrier (Similar to M2 Bradley, but no TOW launcher)
Army Special Forces:
- Brigada Paracaidista - Airborne (BRIPAC)
- Various special units -Raider table
- Spanish Foreign Legion -Raider table
The First Armored Division, BRIPAC and the Spanish Foreign Legion, along with several smaller special units, make up the Spanish Fast Action Force (Fuerza de Accion Rapida). This is their rapid deployment force. During the cold war, it was tasked with reinforcing NATO on the central front. NAVY The Spanish Navy operates one V/STOL carrier, with Sea King helicopters and Harriers. Pilots use air force tables. They also have several frigates, and a number of French-built diesel subs.
