Peter (Patrick) Quinn: (abt.1787-1862)
     He was born in Dublin, Ireland and married to both Marie-Louise Finley & Louise Boucher. His children were William (1828-1906) (m.Amgelique Jeffries in 1849), Mary Louise, Alice (m. John Collins), Marguerite (b.1836) (m.1st.S.A.Findley & 2nd. F.X.Brousseau), Samuel (b.1839) & Thomas (b.abt.1841).
     As a young man he was pressed into the British Navy and arrived at the York Factory on Hudson Bay. Quinn left the Red River Colony & Ft.Garry for Ft.Snelling in 1823, stopping at Joseph Renville's post at Lac qui Parle enroute. From 1836 until his death during the war with the Dakota-Sioux he worked as an interpreter & farmer for the Indian Agency. He move his residence from St.Anthony Falls to Bloomington in 1842 and to Ft.Ridgley in 1862.
