Louis-Thomas Joncaire de Chabert: (1670-1740)
     He was the son of Pierre-Antoine-Marie Joncaire (Jonquaire) & Gabrielle Hardy de Remy. Louis married Marie-Madeleine LeGuay de Beaulieu at Montreal in 1706. In 1700 Louis is with Father Bruyas & Sieur de Maricourt at the Ononaga fort and again in 1708 with Father de Lamberville. In 1712 he was temporary commander at  Fort Frontenac, sent by Vaudreuil to replace the ill commander who was in Montreal. He was trading with the Seneca (Iroquois) at the Niagara Portage where he established a post in 1720.

Philippe-Thomas Joncaire de Chabert (Hady): (1707-?)
     He was the son of Louis-Thomas Joncaire de Chabert & Marie-Madeleine Leguay de Beaulieux born in Quebec. Philippe married Madeleine Renaud Dubuisson (daughter of Charles Renaud Dubuisson & Gabrielle des Marest) at Montreal in 1731. Philippe was on Celoron's  Ohio expedition of 1749 and received his commission as captain after his return in 1751. In 1753-54 he was stationed at Venango (Franklin, Pa.) where on 4 December 1753, George Washington approached the fort with a letter from the English Governor Dinwiddie. But by 1755 he was serving the French army at Fort Niagara.

Daniel-Marie Joncaire de Chabert en Clausonne: (1714-1771)
     He was the son of Louis-Thomas Joncaire de Chabert & Marie-Madeleine Leguay de Beaulieux born in Repentigny, Quebec. Daniel married Marguerite-Elisabeth-Ursula Rocbert de la Morandiere at Montreal in 1751 & also married Hannah Hazard. Daniel's children were: Philippe-Daniel (b.1752, m.Judith Gouin in 1783), Marguerite (b.1755, m.Alexis Maisonville dit Loranger in 1773) & Francois (b.1757, m.Marie-Josephe Chene in 1780). Daniel was an ensign on Celoron's  Ohio expedition of 1749. In 1758 he moved his family to Buffalo, N.Y. establishing a post at the mouth of the Buffalo River, but died back in Detroit in 1771.
