Ambrose Davenport II: (1801-1881)
He was the son of Ambroise R.Davenport &
Elizabeth, born at Mackinac Is. He married Susan Decarreau (granddaughter
of Misquabunoqua) in 1835 and their children were: Jane (1811-1872),
William (1826-1860), Joseph (1834-1862), Mary, John (m.Elizabeth Belanger)
& Susan (b.abt.1849). Ambrose II & his brother William were employed
for many years by the American Fur Company's, Fond du Lac Department as
clerks in northern Minnesota.
