warning and disclaimer
Due to this site's very mind-opening educational purpose,
some of the links presented here contain ideas and images
that you and perhaps even we ourselves find objectionable
or at least ridiculous. Do not assume that
because a site has a link in our collection that the link
is being presented with serious intention nor as an endorsement.
While some sites on here are silly or perhaps
reprehensible, we feel that there is good reason for a
well-informed person to be aware of their messages for
society. It's a diverse world, and it is a good idea to
be aware. Besides, even the most ridiculous of sites might
contain some gem of wisdom, art or wit. Some of this stuff is just plain fun.
We do not accept responsibility for the content found
on the linked sites. All written material and art work
on this site to the best of our knowledge, meets current
copyright policies or is used with permission. If you
see anything problematic, please let
us know. We do accept responsibility for the written
materials actually included within this web site. Links
to local pages on our site are indicated by their presence
in the Navigation tables.
Some of the links presented on this site have controversial
content, but all are non-pornographic, and legal in all
50 states and England to the best of our knowledge.
Within the Aethyr X: Alternative Spirituality section
of this web site there is frank discussion of spiritual
practices that some people may find disturbing, but none
of this is pornographic in intent--though I can't
promise you won't see offensive pop-ups or links to other
more questionable sites. There is no graphic
violence on this site. Hateful rhetoric is also
shunned, though I have presented a few rather unsavory
sites with the intention of demonstrating why a web site
like this one is necessary. Given that our president
and his party have proven that they can stoop down to
the lowest realms of ad hominem and slander, I
do frequently get a bit rough with them. This site
is not intended for the consumption of right wingers.
There are plenty of places for you to go. We are
your enemies.
In the News and Politics section you will find a variety
of links and rants that are specifically intended to criticize
the Bush administration. Sandy and I have no respect
for their activities, opinions, personalities, etc.
If you are a fan of Bush, Ashcroft and Rumsfeld, I guarantee
you won't like this web site. I do not care.
Most of the material and ideas there are not being acknowledged
in the American media, so we feel it is important to provide
this information in order to balance and contradict the
lies and propaganda of war-for-profit that the Bush administration
is manipulating there.
Privacy Policy: From June of 2001 to September 2002 I
had a free beta account at Vioclicks.com to track usage
on most pages of this site. During that time, I
was able to determine the usage level of specific pages
in this site so as to determine which areas merit the
most development, and to satisfy my egoistic curiosity.
None of the information was used for commercial purposes,
or supplied to spam sources. Vioclicks did not provide
that kind of info anyway. Currently, there is no
tracking system attached to this site. This site
is strictly informative and entertaining. There
is no commercial purpose or content. You can send
me money if you like. I promise to spend it on Spanish
red wines and cheeses.
How heavily used is this site?
For those who might wish to know those results, the period
from January 1 2002 to September 24, 2002 produced 9,774
page views. There are 418 return users. 17%
of the hits are on the Thelemic
links page, which is also the most linked and bookmarked
page. It is also very highly ranked on search engines.
11% are on the Hortus page,
which is heavily bookmarked, linked and highly ranked
in search engines under various gardening topics.
8% are on my main links page.
4% are on the news and politics
page. About 3% are on the Western
Magic page, which is also frequently linked and bookmarked
and Captain Davis' Curio Cabinet,
which is quite popular with regular users of this site.
The remaining 54% of hits are scattered about the site.
14% of users spend five minutes or more on the site, which
isn't bad for a site that is so heavily based on links
that send people off to other sites. 28% of my hits
are from bookmarks, 66% come from search engines and the
remaining 6% are from links on other sites. I have
never promoted the site in any active way, other than
registering it on a couple of search engines.
We welcome you to our Cyberportal, and hope that you
enjoy yourself. |
