how to use the cyberportal

This website serves at least two purposes. The first and most obvious is a links collection/homesite for internet access. Rather than keep a collection of Favorites, or Bookmarks, which are not easily interchanged between Netscape and Explorer, we put our links into HTML documents that we post on the net. It makes a great start page for us, and allows friends and strangers to see into our odd world.

The second purpose is educational--to share some of our opinions and wisdom (sic).  This site contains a large amount of opinionated musing and ranting.

Wait for each page to load before clicking on any of the navigation links, or they may not connect you to the collection you requested--especially if you do not have a high speed connection.  Some of the links may not take you all the way down the page to the requested spot because of the speed of data transmission. If you click a local site link and you don't see the proper collection, keep scrolling down until you get to it.

You can use and link to any of the pages on this site directly.

Cyberportal Links Collection is the heart of this site. It contains our most-used links, weather links and search engines. This is our personal start-up home page. From there you can link to all the other pages on our site, and have access to our collection of most-used links.

Aethyr X-- Alternative Spirituality on the internet.  This section is by far the most heavily used on the web site. The Thelemic Links  page is the most popular page on this site, and the Western Magic and Mysticism page is also very popular.  There are many strange, wonderful, idiotic, bizarre and fascinating things here. It is one of the more popular sections of our site, representing 24 years of personal research, dabbling and curiosity. It consists of eight separate topically organized pages. There is some overlap of content between pages due to the difficulty of categorizing much of this material, and to the fact that a number of sites are as broad in content as this one.

Perennial Flower Gardening--Lots of tips and ideas for Minnesota gardeners.  This page is very heavily used, so I do a lot of updating there.

We also maintain a page dedicated to Mountain Biking, with an emphasis on Upper Midwest (Twin Cities, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Michigan and Iowa.)  This page is updated during the riding season.

Our News and Politics section is used most heavily by our regular customers. There are links to news sources, blogs and essays on current events.

Captain Davis' Curio Cabinet is a collection of entertaining and freaky links sent to me by a friend.  If you're looking to spend an evening surfing for eye candy and weird web sites, this is the place to go.  This page is also heavily used by the regulars.

Another set of pages divides into a collection of  Philosophy, Literature and Criticism links.  There is literature on line, art galleries on line, and a variety of surprising things.  Given that my traffic data indicates this section isn't used much, I haven't been updating it for some time now.

A third page contains miscellaneous links grouped into Music and various domestic topics   This section is underdeveloped, due to lack of traffic there.

Another interesting page is dedicated to Spanish Language Links. It's not so heavily used, though.

If you would like to bookmark a page, the Main Cypberportal Links page is the most logical one. All other pages on this site are accessible through this page. Feel free to bookmark it, add it as a link to your web page, whatever. You may link to any of our pages personally or publicly. It would be really nice if you sent us an e-mail telling us that you creating a public link to our page. It's nice to know that others are looking at it.

This page was made with and optimized for viewing with Internet Explorer 4.0 or newer. I have checked the page through other browsers, and it seems to work satisfactorily on Communicator.

Be sure to read the warning and disclaimer.
